SITE DESCRIPTION

The P&K Auto Site is currently operating as a Rite Aid Pharmacy.  Previously, it had been an automotive repair shop.  Following the removal of the underground storage tanks, contaminated soil was excavated from the vicinity of the former underground storage tanks and associated piping and fuel dispensers.  Groundwater monitoring was conducted until late 2006, when consecutive sampling over a year indicated no contamination above Ecology’s cleanup levels was present. Based on the cleanup completed and the most recent sampling results, Ecology has determined the site does not pose a threat to human health or the environment.  Ecology has issued a determination of No Further Action for the Site.
