Financial Assistance for Algae ProblemsGrant funding for algae projectsIn 2005, the Washington State Legislature established an
algae control program that provides funding for algae projects
in Washington's lakes and rivers. The annual funding cycle opens
October 1 and closes November 1 of each year and is run in
conjunction with the Aquatic Weeds grant funding cycle.
Grant applications are due to Ecology at close of business on
November 1. Join Ecology's Freshwater Algae Program List ServeEcology has set up a list serve for freshwater algae. The Freshwater Algae Program List serve will act as an information exchange and discussion forum about freshwater algae in Washington.
