Typical Project Timeline

Initial Contact

A company contacts the team for more information. If they decide to participate in a project, the company schedules an initial visit with the TREE Team at the facility.

First Visit

TREE and the business management meet and discuss:

• specific areas the company would like the team to evaluate
• what the team provides
• payback period or other factors the company will look at when they consider implementing the TREE Team's recommendations
• expectations the team has for the company (openness to share information and evaluate the opportunities provided)

Evaluation

The TREE Team will compare the need of all the businesses interested in their service, and select the business they can help the most at that time. The team tries to accommodate the goals and schedule of the company by adjusting the length and start date of the project.

Project

A project typically lasts about three months.  During that time, the team usually spends 3-7 days at the facility.  The TREE Team will work with the company to select the best times for these visits.  Between the visits the team may ask for additional information (e.g.: bill for water, wastewater, chemical purchase and solid waste).

Report

The TREE Team will compile a report of the best opportunities they identified for a company.  They will present this report to the company.

Follow up

The team follows up with each company a year and two years after completing a project. Ecology does not require the company to implement the suggested opportunities.  However, the TREE team does want to ensure they provide a good service to the company and to Ecology.
