Mission statement

The mission of the Chambers-Clover Planning Unit is to develop a comprehensive water plan, under the guidance of the Watershed Planning Act, for the Chambers-Clover Creek Watershed. The plan will address and, if possible, provide the framework and guidance to resolve water quantity, water quality, and fish habitat issues in the watershed.

Progress

The Chambers-Clover Planning Unit completed its final Phase 3 plan in August 2004. In a September 2004 meeting to vote on plan approval, the Planning Unit was unable to reach consensus, and as a result, the plan was not approved. The Puyallup Indian Tribe, one of the initiating governments, voted not to approve the plan.

Other assessment work in the watershed has been completed, including a Phase 2 Level 1 technical assessment, available from web site listed below.

The Chambers/Clover Creek Watershed Council remains active and meets regularly to continue work on improving the watershed
