This document describes methods for assessing functions of depressional wetland in the Columbia Basin of Eastern Washington. This volume is divided into two parts. The first part (publication 00-06-047) contains background information and three methods, one each for three types of depressional wetlands occurring in the Columbia Basin. The second part (publication 00-06-048) contains procedures and field forms for collecting and recording the data needed to apply the methods.
