| Abstract | Long Description |
The purpose of this manual is to help with identifying aquatic plants that are likely to be seen in Washington's freshwater lakes and rivers. This manual has been written for people who do not have a scientific background, but it also should be useful for professionals who need assistance in identifying aquatic species. Although 106 aquatic plants are described, not all aquatic plants in Washington are included. We have divided the aquatic plants into seven categories based on their habitat type and growth form. An eighth category of non-plant organisms that are often seen in Washington lakes is also included. Because of copyright issues, we cannot produce a pdf document. However, we will make photographs and text available on the internet as a html document. |
