Addendum to Quality Assurance Project Plan: Pend Oreille River Temperature TMDLupdated version
Abstract Long Description

This Quality Assurance Project Plan describes monitoring for temperature in the Pend Oreille River in Washington State in support of a temperature Total Maximum Daily Load (TMDL). Temperature will be monitored continuously in the Pend Oreille River from the Idaho state line to below Box Canyon Dam. The monitoring data will be available, in combination with data from other entities, to support future development of a revised Pend Oreille River water temperature model.

An overall TMDL approach is described, which includes the initial phase of 2004 monitoring and review of existing models of Box Canyon Dam reservoir, and potential future work on the effect of conditions in Idaho and on temperature impairments in the Boundary Dam reservoir, tributaries, and potential Bull Trout habitat. Data quality, analytical, and reporting procedures are also described.
