Starting Wednesday, September 1, 2004, the Washington Department of Ecology will accept applications for the 2005-07 biennial-funding cycle. The application period closes Monday, November 1, 2004. Groups of three or more unrelated individuals and not-for-profit public-interest organizations can qualify for a grant.

Based upon current revenue forecasts, an estimated total of $900,000 is available for new grants. Grants can range from $1,000 to $60,000 per fiscal year. Businesses and government agencies, Indian tribes and universities do not qualify.
