Short Description

The purpose of this manual is to provide operators and/or owners of log yards guidance for complying with Ecology′s 2002 industrial stormwater general permit (Permit) requirements (Reference 1). It will be useful if combined with a thorough understanding of the Permit requirements. It has no independent regulatory authority and does not establish new regulatory requirements or standards. Recommended references are (see Appendix C – References): How to Do Stormwater Sampling; Guidance Manual for Preparing/Updating a Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan for Industrial Facilities; and Volume IV of Ecology′s Western WA Stormwater Manual (SWMM).
