In an effort to reduce human exposure to PBT's in the environment, the state of Washington has targeted mercury as the first compound to be studied under the stated's PBT initiative. As part of the effort to understand and quantify anthropogenic sources of mercury, the Washington State Department of Ecology proposed this study of mercury emissions in a variety of the state's landfills. | |
