Abstract Long Description

The goal of the Lake Chelan Water Quality Plan is to maintain the ultra-oligotrophic condition of the lake by keeping epilimnetic total phosphorus concentration in the Wapato Basin of the lake below 4.5 µg/L. Water quality studies in the late 1980s identified phosphorus as the limiting nutrient in Lake Chelan. The purpose of this study is to determine if changes in nutrient levels, including total phosphorus, have occurred as compared to previous studies.
