Short Description

The Washington State Department of Ecology is establishing a total maximum daily load (TMDL) for fecal coliform bacteria in Fauntleroy Creek. This TMDL Water Quality Improvement Report will address impairments to contact recreation caused by excessive levels of fecal coliform bacteria.

Implementation actions to reduce bacteria loadings in Fauntleroy Creek and its associated cove will rely on special sampling surveys to help identify and correct local bacteria sources, water quality sampling programs to monitor trends, and government and citizen support to increase public awareness and correct known poor management practices.
