Short Description

This Total Maximum Daily Load (TMDL) report discusses the temperature loading affecting streams and rivers in the Wenatchee River watershed (Water Resource Inventory Area (WRIA) 45). Based on technical analyses, this document provides targets for reducing heat loading to the Wenatchee River and its tributaries. Actions are identified in the Summary Implementation Strategy section of this document that will reduce heat loading in the Wenatchee River watershed and bring streams and rivers into compliance with the state′s water quality standards for temperature. Implementation of this TMDL will be coordinated with the Wenatchee Watershed Management Plan and its water quality, water quantity, instream flow, and habitat committees to address temperature impairments in the watershed.
