Short Description

In 2006, the Washington State Department of Ecology (Ecology) amended the Skagit River water management rule (Chapter 173-503 WAC). The amendments created reservations to provide reliable water supplies for future development in the Skagit River basin, while still protecting flows needed for fish and other in-stream values. The reservations are finite amounts of water, set aside for specific future out-of-stream uses.
