This focus sheet provides background information for a closure plan for the mixed waste storage area. The storage area exists at Energy Northwest's Columbia Generating Station located in Richland, Washington. The Columbia Generating Station is located on land leased from the U.S. Department of Energy, but it is not part of the Hanford cleanup activities. Energy Northwest stores only small quantities of mixed waste in the mixed waste storage area. | |
