Short Description

Ecology began a TMDL in this watershed because the Walla Walla River and several tributaries did not meet water quality standards. Several streams were on the 303(d) list in 1996 and 2004 for not meeting temperature, pH, dissolved oxygen, PCBs, chlorinated pesticides, and fecal coliform standards. Based on the findings in the TMDL, Ecology and the Water Quality Subcommittee develop this water quality implementation plan (WQIP). This plan spells out what will be done in the watershed to address the water quality issues.
