| Short Description |
The South Sound Dissolved Oxygen Study includes both data collection and model development to determine what contributes which nutrient inputs and how nutrient inputs affect dissolved oxygen levels in South Puget Sound. The first step in addressing relative influences within South and Central Puget Sound is to use the hydrodynamic model to understand how water moves around, and specifically whether Central Puget Sound nutrients enter South Puget Sound. A water quality model currently under development will simulate the full biogeochemical processes affecting dissolved oxygen in the next phase of the project. | |
