| Short Description |
The Former Darrington Exxon is located at 1025 Darrington Street, Darrington, WA 98241. It was historically used as a gas station. The site was abandoned in 1997. Up to 11 underground storage tanks still remain on the property. The Washington State Department of Ecology is proposing an interim action plan to remove the tanks and clean up potentially contaminated soil and groundwater on the site. Ecology is asking for your comments on the Draft Interim Action Plan, State Environmental Policy Act (SEPA) checklist, and Public Participation Plan. Public comments will be accepted March 9 through April 8, 2009. | |||
