Whatcom, Squalicum, and Padden Creeks are on the Washington State 303(d) list for impaired waters for temperature. Ecology and the city of Bellingham developed this total maximum daily load (TMDL) to develop a plan to bring these creeks, which run through Bellingham, into compliance with the state water quality standards.
