Short Description

Water quality surveys were conducted on Budd Inlet during 1976-78 to obtain a baseline of data that can be used to evaluate benefits of various water pollution abatement projects planed for the Olympia area. Budd Inlet and all significant source waters were monitored including Olympia STP, combined storm sewer overflows, feeder streams, and incoming Puget Sound waters. Water quality analyses included nutrients, dissolved oxygen, fecal coliform bacteria, and other parameters. In addition, a mathematical model was developed to predict dissolved oxygen concentrations during summer low flow.
