Abstract Long Description

These guidelines provide abbreviated step-by-step instructions to help you conduct a collection event. Planning, project design, publicity, liability, laws, funding, safety, waste handling and staffing are topics covered within this guide. Checklists, publicity samples, job descriptions, service contract samples, useful contacts, and timelines are contained in the appendices. Much of the information comes via sources from around the country who have developed similar guidelines. This manual is not meant to provide the definitive process for running a collection project. Rather, it is meant to provide helpful tools that will enable you to design your own unique project without having to start from scratch.
