Short Description

Puget Sound Dredged Disposal Analysis (PSDDA) is an interagency program which includes the US Army Corps of Engineers, Seattle District as lead agency, supported by the US EPA Region 10, the Washington Dept. of Ecology, and the Washington Dept. of Natural Resources. The goal of PSDDA is to provide the basis for publicly acceptable guidelines governing environmentally safe unconfined, open-water disposal of dredged material, and to provide Puget Sound-wide consistency and predictability in decisions concerning dredged material disposal. A baseline field survey was conducted at the PSDDA Phase II disposal sites between April 11 and May 4, 1989.
