This document is a summary of sampling and measurement protocols used by Ecology's Watershed Assessment Section (WAS) when conducting water quality assessment projects. The sampling and measurement protocols are specific to the collection, handling, instrumentation, and analyses used by WAS. Parameters and procedures discussed include: bottle rinsing, nutrients (including orthophosphate), fecal coliform, temperature, conductivity, pH, dissolved oxygen (Winkler titration and YSI meter), free and total chlorine, oil and grease, flow, and Hydrolab calibration and deployment.
