This Fourth Annual Status Report updates the status of solid waste facilities, looks at recycling and disposal trends and discusses waste movement within the state, and waste movement in and out of the state In addition, the 1994 Recycling Survey is included in this status report and not as a separate report as in past years. Ecology's efforts in waste reduction, recycling and other solid waste management areas have been refocused because of budget reductions in 1995. Some of the redirections are discussed in this report. This annual report was compiled from report forms provided by solid waste landfills and incinerators, from surveys completed by recyclers and from information provided by Ecology's headquarters and regional staff in coordination with local jurisdictional health departments. |
