Abstract Long Description

This publication provides questions and answers related to the new requirements for drillers to be tested on a drill rig (on-site) before obtaining a license. For example:

Q: What is an on-site test and who is required to take one?

A: An on-site test is a field examination taken by some applicants for well operator licenses. The test is designed to demonstrate that a license applicant has the basic knowledge and skills required to drill wells using Washington State minimum standards. The examination takes place at an actual well drilling site. The on-site test is prepared, administered, and evaluated by Ecology, with the assistance of an on-site testing advisor.
