Short Description

Anyone who wants to own or operate a facility where dangerous waste is treated, stored or disposed must abtain a "Dangerous Waste Management Facility Permit" (commonly called a hazardous waste management facility permit or a TSD permit). There are two parts to a Dangerous Waste Permit Application - Part A and Part B. This booklet provides Part A Form and the instructions for completing the form. Note that generators that meet specific standards are exempt from obtaining a permit. To be exempt from a permit, a generator must ship wastes it produces off-site before exceeding set accumulation limits and deadlines. Some other activities are also exempt from obtaining a permit when the facility meets required standards.
