When an agency issues a determination of nonsignificance (DNS) and another agency disagrees with the DNS, the other agency may "assume lead agency status" and require the preparation of an environmental impact statement. This form is used to notify the agencies and the applicant of the lead agency assumption. (The form is in WAC 197-11-985. Refer to WAC 197-11-948 for the specific procedures for lead agency assumption.) | |
