Abstract Long Description

This program provides funding for projects dealing with the problems caused by freshwater algae such as blue-green algae (also known as cyanobacteria). Ecology will give funding priority to projects involving the treatment of lakes in which harmful algae blooms have occurred within the past three years. The annual grant funding cycle opens on October 1 of each year and closes on November 1.
