Software Update - EIM Database Search

http://www.ecy.wa.gov/eim

Recent Improvements

Text Search Screens

  • Added Taxon Name filter to 'Search by Results' screens.
  • Added ability to include synonyms when searching using Parameter and/or Taxon names. (Note – not all possible synonyms are in EIM).

  • Added ability to search by Well Tag Number under 'Search by Location.'
  • Modified 'Search by Study' screens to reflect recently updated Study-level QA/QC metadata, including Study Implementation Status, Study QA Assessment Level, and Study QA Planning Level.

Text Detail Screens

  • Parameter detail screen now displays synonyms.

  • For taxonomic data, Sample detail screen has link from Sample Taxon Name to new Taxon detail screen with information on Taxon Name, ITIS Code (Taxonomic Serial Number), Parent Taxon, Function, Tolerance, and Synonym(s). There is also an off-site link to the Integrated Taxonomic Information System (ITIS) database from the Taxon detail screen.

Downloads

  • When downloading data after searching by Study, Location, or Results, all available Study, Location, Results, Well Location, and Well Measuring Point data will be delivered no matter which search type is used. Previously, the only way to get all available data was through 'Search by Study.' You can also uncheck files you don't want downloaded.

  • Additional files have been added to 'Search by Study' downloads and Study ready-made downloads: Sample Split, Sample Composite, and Linked Field Activities. Sample Method (collection, preservation, preparation) files are also available via this route. Files are provided for download only when data is available.
  • Study-level QA/QC information (Study Implementation Status, Study QA Assessment Level, Study QA Planning Level, and Study Type) is now included in every Results download file so the user can get a better idea of data quality.

Map

  • Zooms in closer – for sites with closely-spaced Locations such as cleanup sites.
  • Easily create an image file from a map view (“Save as Png” tool).
  • Wells are now depicted on the map as triangles. Surface locations remain circles.
  • Number of Locations that can be selected when switching from map to text data has been increased from 500 to 2000.
