How to Apply
The Department of Personnel has a new system for job announcements, called E-Recruiting. To register and create your profile, go to www.careers.wa.gov. The table above contains both E-Recruiting and normal job announcements. If an announcement has a reference code, it is in the E-Recruiting system. 


When applying for opportunities in E-Recruiting follow these instructions:

- Go to www.careers.wa.gov, the statewide careers website

- Non-state employees: Click on "I'm interested in a state career"
- Current state employees: Click on "I'm already a state employee" 

- Click on "Login to E-Recruiting"

Log in:
   - State employees, information on registering can be found at http://www.careers.wa.gov/RegisterNow.htm   If you need assistance, contact your HR Office. 
- Non-state employees
, you set your password when you register. To request a password reset, call the Department of Personnel at (360) 664-1960

- Click on "Apply Directly"
- Enter the Reference Code of the job posting you wish to apply for (example - NB00010120*)
- Click on the Start Search button
- Click on the name of the job posting
- Click on the Apply button
- Complete the Application process

 

Tips for Applicants:

- Allow sufficient time to complete your initial profile and consider the questions and your answers. DO NOT begin the application process the night before the deadline.

- Draft and save your responses in a separate file, and then copy and paste your responses into the application boxes. Don't forget to spell-check your responses.

- Answer narrative questions completely and thoroughly.
