Homeowners

Reporting Environmental Problems - If you see a spill or other environmental problem, we encourage you to report it. If you caused a spill, you are required to report it. The sooner Ecology knows about an incident, the quicker we can act to reduce damage to our environment and protect sensitive natural resources.

Shorelines Master Program, Citizen guide - Learn more and help shape the future of Washington’s shorelines.

Fresh Water Algae - Ecology's Freshwater Algae Control Program works to reduce nutrient input to lakes that cause potentially toxic algae blooms. The program targets blue-green algae (also known as cyanobacteria) because these algae pose a health risk to humans, pets, and livestock.
