PORT ANGELES AIR QUALITY FORUM PUBLIC WORKSHOP
The Port Angeles Air Quality Forum invites you to participate in a community discussion of local air quality issues. Topics will include: What the Forum is, why it exists, who the members are and why they participate. The workshop will be held Wednesday, December 6, 7:00-9:00 p.m. at the City Council Chambers, 321 E. 5th St. in Port Angeles.
Forum members include industry, local and state agencies, and citizens. The group was formed in 1992 to facilitate resolution of the community's air quality concerns. Activities of the Forum include: Increased exchange of data between forum members, an odor survey, new monitoring sites at the Rayonier mill, health studies and meteorological modeling.
The main focus of the public workshop is to communicate Air Quality Forum activities to the community. Forum members will make short presentations reporting on their efforts followed by an opportunity for feedback and comments. This workshop is part of the Forum's continuing effort to facilitate open communication on air quality issues.
