OLYMPIA, WA - The Washington Coastal Protection Fund Steering Committee has scheduled a special meeting on Wednesday, Dec. 10. The meeting will begin at 10 a.m. in Room 1S-17 at the Department of Ecology Headquarters building, 300 Desmond Dr., Lacey.
Agenda items include a review of ongoing restoration projects and a discussion of expenditure of damage-assessment funds that were assessed on oil spills in the Columbia River basin.
The steering committee includes representatives of state natural-resource agencies and is responsible for disbursing money from the Coastal Protection Fund. Contact Paul Heimowitz at (360) 407-6972 for more information.
