SPOKANE, WA - Representatives from Cenex Supply and Marketing and the Washington State Department of Ecology will be available Tuesday, Dec. 16, to answer questions citizens may have about cleanup progress at Cenex's rinsate pond and fumigant plant site in Quincy. The "open house" will be held at the Quincy Community Center from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. The center is located at 115 "F" St. in Quincy.
The cleanup at the Cenex site is nearing the end of the "remedial investigation" stage, during which cleanup options are fully explored. Citizens will have an opportunity to review and comment on the cleanup plan before it becomes final. Each step of the cleanup itself also will be made public, and citizens will be invited to comment.
