Air Pollution Episode Termination for
all Eastern Washington State Counties

May 2, 1998

Due to improving atmospheric conditions and decreasing air pollution values, the forecast stage of an air pollution episode declared by the Washington State Department of Ecology, Air Quality Program, in effect since April 29, 1998, for all eastern Washington Counties, will be allowed to expire at 10 a.m. today.

Open fires that had been prohibited because of the episode may be permitted subject to local air pollution control authority regulations, fire control rules, and Department of Natural Resources restrictions.
