NOTE TO NEWS EDITORS AND DIRECTORS: The Washington Department of Ecology has a policy of notifying reporters about all penalties issued that total $1,000 or more. Individual news releases are issued for significant penalties of $10,000 or more. Then, every three months, a roundup of all penalties greater than $1,000 is reported in this Quarterly Penalty Summary.
