Agencies responding to diesel spill at Fisherman's Terminal in Seattle

SEATTLE – The state Department of Ecology, U.S. Coast Guard, Port of Seattle, and a private cleanup contractor are responding to at least a 30 gallon diesel spill at Fisherman’s Terminal in Seattle.

The spill is contained within the terminal. The owner of the fishing vessel has hired Global Diving to help clean up the spill.

The spill was the result of a broken hose in the engine room on the 73-foot fishing vessel.

Pictures and additional details of the spill response will be available on Ecology’s @ecynorth Twitter feed.
