Governor Gregoire said sound is beautiful to look at, but below the surface the story is very different.

The governor announced a budget package to fund 42 million dollars in new initiatives to protect and restore the Sound.

Incue: "Most of it will go to insure…"

Gregoire said 38 species who live in and around the Sound have become endangered or threatened.
