Lost Lake is located 7.75 miles southwest of Shelton. It has no surface inlets, and drains via the south fork of Goldsborough Creek to Oakland Bay. It has a three-acre island. Lost Lake was monitored by Ecology staff only.

COMMENTS FROM 97/06/10 AQUATIC PLANT SURVEY Sunny, calm. Not many plants, max depth of growth difficult to tell, > 4.5 m. Blue green algae bloom forming turquoise 'paint scum' in protected areas. Some areas with dense mat of filamentous green algae on the bottom. Mostly rocky bottom. Algae dominant photosynthetic thing. Many rough-skinned newts, lots of long ropey egg masses attached to objects and plants at water's surface.
