Facility Description:

The Plymouth Plant receives pressurized natural gas feedstock from a selection of four main gas pipelines that are owned by Northwest Pipeline GP. Each gas line is equipped with a branch line to the facility that includes a remote-operated, emergency shutoff isolation valves for isolation during emergencies. The branch lines converge into a main feed line, where pressures, flows and temperatures are monitored. A separate branch from the main feedstock line provides fuel gas for the gas-fired equipment on-site. The compressor station maintains gas pressure on the four pipelines as demand dictates using four reciprocating engines and one gas turbine, all of which burn natural gas, and liquefies natural gas from the pipelines for peak demand storage.
