All field and laboratory data should be entered as soon as possible into our online entry system, but no later than noon on the Friday after sampling. Everyone entering data will need to create a Secure Access Washington (SAW) account. For help on creating an account see the help documents below. If you are new to this system or just need a refresher please contact us to schedule a training.

WA BEACH Program recommends that all local health jurisdictions (LHJ) follow this Notification Flowchart. We also recommend that currently monitored beaches are posted with a green sign (view signs). This lets the public know their beach is being monitored regularly and if there is cause to post a beach a sign location is already established. We have BEACH signs available, just call.
Anytime you post a beach please contact us so we can notify the public as well (see public notification section). If it after hours or on the weekend please call the BEACH Cell at 360-480-4868.
Many local health jurisdictions put out a press release when closing or posting an advisory, this is highly recommended. The BEACH Program will send details on why a beach is being posted (or a copy of the press release if available) on all of our avenues for public notification. BEACH tracks all beach postings and reports them to EPA yearly.
