Septic Systems

Failing septic systems can have a huge impact on bathing beaches. Many beaches with high bacteria counts are in communities that are largely on septic. If you’re on septic, it’s your responsibility to ensure your system is functioning properly.

• Inspect your septic system regularly. Inspect it every year, or at least every three years.
