FIELD OBSERVATIONS OF ECOLOGY STAFF
Hydrolab stirrer is intermittant.  This may have contributed to lower than normal DO
readings.

SUMMARY AND EXPLANATION OF TROPHIC STATE ASSESSMENT
Davis Lake is classified as oligo-mesotrophic based on the relatively deep Secchi
depths, the low chlorophyll concentrations and the moderate phosphorous concentrations
detected in the water column.

COMMENTS FROM 97/08/12 AQUATIC PLANT SURVEY
sunny, breeze.  Milfoil spreading to south end of lake.  Some large patches at north
end.  Control is at an akward stage, would take intense effort.  Water level high,
nice native plant commuity in areas with habitat.  Water level seems brown and turbid,
did a quick circumnavigation.  Large freshwater sponge colonies at north end of lake.
