Lakes Survey, Summer 2007 - Photo "Lewis-NAIP"
This aerial photo of Lewis Lake in Pierce County is marked
with 10 habitat sampling stations. Stations were spaced evenly from a
randomly chosen starting point. Habitat data were collected at each station
from the littoral (shallow near-shore water) and riparian (shoreline) zones.
Samplers also observed invasive plants and collected benthic macroinvertebrates
(bugs).
