Lake Water Quality Monitoring- Photo "daphnia"
This is a bad picture of a daphnia, a small invertebrate commonly known
as a "water flea." They are not fleas, however, and do not bite or otherwise
annoy humans (in spite of that nasty-looking claw). They eat algae,
and are a great food source for fish.
