How It Works
Puget Sound mooring configured for 2-way communication
and real-time data transfer (telemetry)
Near-bottom (fixed)
instruments (conductivity, temperature, dissolved oxygen)
Located in nearshore
waters (5-15 m
depth)
Attached to piers/pilings
Transmit data every 15 minutes via broad spectrum radio to shore-based PC for upload to NANOOS pilot website
