How the Pollution Prevention Planning Fee is Calculated

The Pollution Prevention Planning Fee formula considers the pounds of hazardous waste generated from the Dangerous Waste Annual Report and any pounds of releases from the Toxic Release Inventory (Form R) Report.

The fee calculation counts recurrent manifested hazardous waste, less recycling credits, and any toxic releases reported on the 2009 Form R. The statewide rate per pound is currently $0.11056.

If a hazardous waste management facility or Treatment, Storage, Disposal, and Recycling (TSDR) facility recycles your waste, you may be eligible for recycling credits. Ask your TSDR. See the page on recycling credits for more information.
