Important Reminders

  • TurboPlan doesn't automatically save your work so remember to use [Save] before leaving a page.
  • Facilities may decide whether to group similar products (for example same product but with different brand names) and list them as a single product.
  • Report products in pounds.

This page describes entering the products at your facility that contain hazardous substances.

  • A Product is anything you use that contains a hazardous substance in a process or department.
  • Hazardous substances are chemical ingredients listed either in the:
    • Toxics Release Inventory (Section 313 of Title III of the Superfund Amendments and Reauthorization Act) and any future updates.
    • Montreal Protocol (all ozone-depleting compounds).
    • Note: You will not be able to add ingredients that are not on these two lists into the Product table.

Adding a New Product

Click the [Edit/Add] link to add a new product. Work with your Ecology staff member to review your Safety Data Sheets (SDS). If you have a long list of products you may click [Hide] to minimize the list. Click [Show All] to see the full list.

Adding Ingredients

You may search by either part of a name or by a Chemical Abstract Service (CAS) number from an SDS. The list only includes the mandatory hazardous substances that are required to be reported. You may not add chemical ingredients that are not included in that list in this area.

Adding Product Amounts

Add the number of pounds, not gallons or other units, used in the reporting year.
