The application period for the 2008 Governor’s Award for Sustainable Practices is closed.

Pollution Prevention Success Stories

The electronic format for pollution prevention plans is available to help planners prepare their reports for calendar year 2006. The form (in Microsoft Word) combines plan and annual progress report information into one package, simplifies reporting, and provides a process-oriented, 5-year view of pollution prevention data, allowing for better analysis.Cleaner Production Challenge
The Department of Ecology's Cleaner Production Challenge was a technical assistance project for companies in the aerospace parts manufacturing, plating and circuit board manufacturing industries. The challenge encouraged the companies to reduce the amount of water used, wastewater produced and hazardous sludge generated.
