Pollution Prevention Planning

173-307 (Pollution Prevention Plans)
This rule requires
certain hazardous waste generators and hazardous product users in Washington State to prepare
plans for voluntarily reducing hazardous substance use and
hazardous waste generation. Planning documentation is submitted
to the Department of Ecology by September 1st of each year.
Electronic Reporting Forms
You are encouraged to use the electronic reporting forms. They offer
advantages for both planners and the Department of Ecology.
EMS -- An Alternative To Pollution Prevention
Planning
If you have an Environmental Management System, you can use it in
lieu of submitting pollution prevention planning forms.
Pollution Prevention Planning Fees
You can reduce your fees by reducing your waste and use of
hazardous substances.
